Good morning!

Last thursday I took delivery of an L3130 with an LA518 and SQ600 ar Ar ARRR! ;)

I've been putting some hours on it this past weekend clearing the brush around my property and it is an awesome machine. I do have one question tho...

The throttle lever seems really tight - I find I have to give it a really good tug to get up around 2500-2600RPM to get the PTO ~540 for the bushhog. Will this loosen up?

Thanks for a great site!

-Brian

The more you use it the easier it will move and from the sounds of yours it seems normal. Some choose to go in and loosen it and then have to go back later and retighten. My best recommendation is to leave it and just work it back in forth when you can. ....

Went through the same thing with my B7800. Even went in and re-adjusted the friction washer setting. From this experience, my suggestion would be to do as Art suggests, let it be. Mine hasn't loosened up yet, but adjusting it turned into a nightmare. ....

Thanks, guys - that's what my dealer said too. Ditto the brake pedal - have to push fairly hard to release the parking break but he thinks that'll loosen up too.

What a great resource!

I have an L3010 and don't know if the throttle linkage is exactly the same as the 3130 but the linkage was binding on mine when I got it. Very stiff. I bent the rods slightly to give clearance. Might want to check it before adjusting anything, if you haven't already. ....

Over the past couple of weeks this has loosened up nicely. Even seems to have a 'tight spot' right about 2500 RPM which makes the PTO speed happy.

What a great rig! Thanks for all the help.
